GENERAL CLINIC
M-KEM's multi-faceted General Clinic covers a range of services and is available 365 days a year between 8am and 8pm. M-KEM's Nursing Sisters are able to screen for Blood Sugar, Anaemia, HIV, Blood Pressure, Urinalysis, drug testing, Candida testing and administering Flu Vaccinations.
The patient is offered a choice as far as Cholesterol Screening is concerned. A finger prick with results available in seconds would indicate an average Cholesterol level.
Wound care, administration of prescribed injectables as well as taking of blood for further testing on Doctor's request, are but a few of the wide range of services which occupy the M-KEM Nursing Sisters in the General Clinic.

A Nursing Sister specialising in Colostomy Care is available at specific times.
HEART SCREENING

Cardioscan identifies potentially pathological changes in the cardiovascular system of those with cardiac risk factors (overweight, diabetes, high blood pressure, high cholesterol, smoker, family history ....) as well as apparently healthy individuals. Early screenings allow timely medical follow up with more detailed diagnosis and therapy.
Measurement is done with four clip-on electrodes on wrists and ankles. The patient remains in a sitting position and fully dressed.
Protocol and analysis of findings are available after five minutes.
